The canopy was designed as a carport for an irregularly shaped parking space along a cul-de-sac.

The circular shape of the slightly sloping roof harmonises with the three irregular sides of the existing enclosure. The structure stands on three minimalist legs and references the roof trusses of the early 20th-century chalet-inspired house to which the parking space belongs.

The bronze metal colour emphasises the canopy's status as a serving structure along the existing wooden fence.
